Yaniv Yaffe’s header was deflected off the crossbar, with less than eight minutes to play in Tuesday’s MIAA C Conference soccer battle with Chapelgate Christian, setting up the game’s only goal as the host Warriors prevailed, 1-0.
Ben Lipowitz came up with the ball in a scramble near the goal line and poked it home and Beth Tfiloh went on to finish off the victory.
Chapelgate goalkeeper Steve Handy did exceptionally well to keep his team in the game, while BTS keepers Eli Davis and Danny Gross each made some key saves to preserve the clean sheet for the home team.
The Warriors (5-5-1 overall) are now 5-4 in the C Conference. Chapelgate is now 3-3-1 in the league and overall.
