A huge second half, offensively and defensively, powered Boys’ Latin to a 74-42 season-opening basketball victory over visiting Indian Creek, on Thursday at BL.
The Lakers led just 30-28 at the halftime break, but they netted 44 second half points while limiting the Eagles to just 14 markers.
Junior center Greg Pyke delivered a team-high 15 points and junior guard Robert White scored 12 to lead Boys’ Latin. The Lakers got great offensive balance with five other players scoring seven points or more.
Junior Bijon Brydson led Indian Creek with 13 points and freshman Keion Bostick finished with 10 points.
