No. 8 Lake Clifton tops Mervo, maintains first in Baltimore City boys hoops; Harried scores 33

Arman Harried had a big game for Lake Clifton Saturday. The senior guard scored 33 points as the eighth-ranked Lakers defeated Mervo in a Baltimore City boys basketball A Division contest.

After a main water break altered its schedule, No. 8 Lake Clifton High boys basketball team returned to action Saturday, defeating Mervo, 64-45, in a Baltimore City A Division contest on Hillen Road.

Senior guard Arman Harried scored 33 points, and junior Michael Gray added 15 for Lake Clifton (13-2 overall). Ludd led Mervo (8-6, 3-1 A Division) with 11 points.

The Lakers established a 14-point first quarter lead as they remain undefeated in division play (5-0). Lake Clifton is tied with No. 11 Edmondson (5-0) for first.

The St. Lo Drive school previously played Jan. 19 at the Basketball Academy at Morgan State University. The Lakers’ home game with No. 3 Patterson, originally scheduled for Tuesday, was postponed because of a water main break near the Lake Clifton campus. No rescheduled date has been made.

Lake Clifton is scheduled to host City College Tuesday. Friday, the Lakers play at Edmondson.

Mervo is at Edmondson Tuesday.
