After a slow start to the season, the Gilman basketball team appears to be finding its stride and the Greyhounds were sharp Friday night as they routed visiting St. Vincent Pallotti, 64-45, in Roland Park.

Steven Koteen drained five three-pointers and scored a game-high 20 points to lead Gilman.  The Greyhounds also got a 19-point game from junior Ryan Ripken and 16 more from junior CJ Jones.

Gilman outscored Pallotti 24-10 in the second quarter to break a 14-14 tie at the end of one quarter.  Pallotti made a nice run in the third quarter, but Koteen came off the bench to hit all three of his three-pointers to push the Greyhounds back in front comfortably.  Koteen then added six more points in the fourth quarter, as Gilman held the Panthers to just four points and ran away for the 19-point win.

Ripken also had the three-points and Jones added seven assists and five rebounds.

Aubrey Williams led Pallotti with nine points.
