Morgan Koopman, a sophomore at McDaniel College and a graduate of McDonogh School, shot a career low 77 on Saturday to lead the Green Terror to an excellent showing at the Gettysburg Fall Invitational, played at Quail Valley Golf Course in Littlestown, Pa.
Koopman’s score was the lowest by a McDaniel golfer since 2005 and it was good enough for a second place finish in the tournament, one stroke behind Mount St. Mary’s Sarah Roe. Koopman was the top Division III finisher and her effort helped McDaniel place third in the team standings.
