Yellow Jackets blitz Carroll Christian, 72-37

The Chapelgate Christian boys basketball team showed little rust from having the start of the basketball season delayed by nearly three months, as they became the first MIAA squad to take the floor in 2021 and the Yellow Jackets defeated visiting Carroll Christian in convincing fashion, 72-37, Tuesday evening.

Chapelgate built a seven point lead after one quarter and then limited their guests to just four second quarter points in building a 38-16 halftime advantage. The Yellow Jackets stretched their lead to 24 points after three quarters and then finished off Carroll Christian with a 23-8 run through the fourth quarter.

Four Yellow Jackets scored in double-figures with Zach Knox firing in a game-high 21 points. Jax Fielder and DT Hamilton each scored 12 points and Saihou Mbergan scored 10 in the win.
