The North County Knights just cannot be stopped right now, lacing together wins over Severna Park, Chesapeake-AA and Meade this past week to move to 11-3 and 6-1 in Anne Arundel County.
Beating Severna Park with ease, 49-21, the Knights moved on to a tiebreaking win with the Cougars, referring to the eighth criterion of most first points scored to edge their foes, 41-40.
But Wednesday, the Knights exploded to yet another win, beating Meade, 42-29.
North County worked five falls in their eight matches won, seeing back-to-back falls from Larry Brent and Mico Flores at 125 and 130, and repeat falls by Brandon Ballard (189) and Lorenzo Maddox (215) after Cordell Blair notched his pin at 152.
Meade also recorded falls by Tayler Creek (112), Soo Song (135) and Kojo Boadu (160), with other wins by lance Alderman (145) and Isiah Alston (171) among others.
North County will next be at the Arundel Holiday Tournament this Dec. 28, as Meade takes up with Broadneck on Jan. 4.
