Wood’s four goals lead the Obezags to victory


With first place in the Red Division on the line, Tuesday, as Key School hosted Jemicy in a MIAA C Conference lacrosse showdown, the Obezags responded with an 11-5 win over the visiting Vikings, in Annapolis.

Graham Wood led the way for Key, scoring a game-high four goals and adding an assist, to help his team avenge and earlier 10-9 loss to Jemicy and retain its grip on the top spot in the Red Division. Key (6-6, 6-4 MIAA C) came in with a half game lead over Jemicy (5-5, 4-5) in the battle for the top spot and now the Obezags have the inside track to the top seed.

Hudson Smith and Jacob Greene each had two goals and two assists for Key, Ben Kahle had a goal and an assist, and Michael Haldeman and Teddy Fleming had one goal apiece.

Owen Fleming stopped 11 shots for the Obezags.

Cole Synder paced the Vikings with three goal and Anthony Van Wie added two goals. Will Erwin had an assist and Ethan Wheeler made five saves.
