Sparked by the team’s full court press, Key turned defense into offense in a 62-42 victory over visiting CHEN on Tuesday.
The Obezags outscored the visitors, 29-9, in the second quarter to open up a 37-15 half time lead. CHEN would get no closer than 16 points the rest of the way in this non-league affair.
Senior forward Alex DeMarco paced Key with 20 points while freshmen Liam Killingstad and Brian Kelley and junior Rakesh Poojary added eight points apiece. Junior center Tommy Nayden pulled down 10 rebounds to go along with nine points.
Key improved to 4-2 overall this season and will host Meade at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
