For the first time in several season, the Kenwood boys varsity soccer team came away from a meeting on the pitch with Patapsco with a victory, as the Bluebirds blanked the Patriots, 3-0, on Saturday.
Senior forward Zach Kougl notched a brace for Kenwood, one of those came from a cross by Bryan Makanjuola. Midfielder Michael McKinney claimed the third goal for the Bluebirds.
The shutout was preserved by goalkeepers Zach Rayman and Johnny Thomas. Also key in the defensive effort were Jesse Torres and Jorge Rivera.
