Archbishop Curley graduate Jerome Junior had a big day for the University of Connecticut football team, on Saturday, as the redshirt sophomore came up with a pair of interceptions, including a pick six, in the Huskies 45-21 win over Buffalo.
Junior produced the first score of the game when he stepped in front of a pass by Buffalo’s Jerry Davis and returned it 27 yards for a score, just 1:26 into the contest. He finished with 42 yards in returns and four tackles.
Junior has started all four games for the Huskies and now has 11 tackles.
Former Loyola quarterback Leon Kinnard also appeared in the contest for UCONN, rushing one time for nine yards and catching one pass for two yards.
