In their first night game of the season, John Carroll defeated Aberdeen, 5-1 on Friday in non-league action.

Patriots junior Leah Pace scored the first of her two goals midway through the opening half off of a through ball from senior Devin Hogan. The Patriots took a 1 -0 lead into the half in a very even, hard fought half.

The second half saw Pace score early off of a feed from sophomore Olivia DiFonso, who pushed a through pass to Pace on a run to the goal.  Later, Hogan broke down the wing and crossed a ball for her second assist to charging sophomore Jordan Clarke.

Immediately, Eagles freshman Leah Hardin answered by gathering a ball from sophomore Samara Miller and sliding it to the far post.

Not to be outdone, John Carroll senior Morgan Fraczkowski placed a perfect 35-yard through ball to freshman Kristen Kohles who gathered it and finished to the far post, scoring her first high school goal. Junior Shelby Foit finished the scoring by serving a corner kick to the far upper post.
