Fullback Kyle Miele rushed for a career-high 280 yards on 25 carries with one TD as John Carroll defeated Mount Carmel, 42-12, on Friday night.
Miele has run for 610 yards on 90 carries in four games with two touchdowns for the Patriots, who improved to 2-3 overall.
John Carroll rushed for 410 yards against the Cougars, marking the second straight game rushing for over 400 yards. Eight different players carried the ball for the Patriots, who are averaging 316 yards on the ground per contest this season.
Wide receiver DJ Owens had four receptions for 79 yards and a score. Brett Prochazka caught his second touchdown pass of the year.
Senior quarterback Ryan Kirby was efficient with the ball, completing 5-of-10 passes for 94 yards and two touchdowns.
On defense, Zach Frink had two sacks and Tyler Ray made a game-high 13 tackles.
The Patriots return to MIAA B Conference action on Friday when they host St. Frances at 7 p.m.
