Patriots, Huskies make cut as regular season picks back up after Easter break; Boys’ Latin holds firm at No. 1

After a rough start, John Carroll School appears to have some momentum heading into the latter stages of MIAA A Conference play. The Patriots are No. 20 in this week’s VSN Boys Lacrosse Top 20.
John Carroll won its first league match early last week, topping then-No. 15 Mount St. Joseph. The Patriots followed with two victories at the Gosnell Tournament at Arundel.
Another Bel Air school, Patterson Mill, also debut. The undefeated Huskies are tied with No. 16 Fallston, C. Milton Wright and Havre de Grace for first in the UCBAC Chesapeake.
Boys’ Latin School is again No. 1 followed by St. Mary’s, McDonogh School, Archbishop Spalding and Calvert Hall College. St. Mary’s will put its undefeated record on the line Tuesday at McDonogh while, on Friday evening, Boys’ Latin visits Spalding in a rematch of last May’s MIAA A championship game.
Loyola Blakefield, Severn School, Severna Park, St. Paul’s School and Broadneck complete the Top 10.
