Concordia Prep debuts at No. 14, Glenelg and Gilman also earn spots


No. 1 Calvert Hall College and No. 2 McDonogh School each had dominant weeks and solidified their places at the top of the Week 2 VSN Boys Soccer Top 20, but there was a lot of shuffling in the spots that follow.

The biggest upward climb was made by John Carroll School, which moved to 3-1-1, including an overtime win over then-No. 4 Archbishop Curley, to vault from No. 11 to No. 5 in this week’s rankings. Another MIAA A Conference team, Concordia Prep, which is making an impact early in its first season in the MIAA A Conference. made the week’s highest debut, at No. 14.

Also making this week’s poll were No. 19 Glenelg and No. 20 Gilman School.
