Vikings rebound after losing last year’s title match by one point
The athletic teams at Jemicy School have improved steadily since the school was accepted into the MIAA prior to the 2014-15 academic year, winning games, competing for playoff spots and now, winning championships.
The Jemicy golf team, which finished one stroke shy of a MIAA C Conference title in 2017, dethroned Friends School, 15.5-5.5, in Tuesday’s MIAA C Conference championship match, bringing the Owings Mills school its first MIAA crown in any sport.
Chris Prigg, in the No. 1 spot, and Jayven Hull, at No. 2, combined to earn 1.5 points. At No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, Connor Williams and Neil Johnson swept the seven available points, while No. 5 Wyatt Schelle and No. 6 Zack Barton did the same.
The possibility of repeat in 2019 certainly exists, as Prigg is the only senior.
