Matt Jablonski added another footnote to his burgeoning list of accomplishments as Loyola Blakefield runner placed second in the 3,200-meter event at the Arcadia Invitational in California Saturday evening.
Jablonski clocked a personal-best 8 minutes, 50.80 seconds to finish a little over a second behind Ammar Moussa (8:49.59), who was on his home track in southern California. Both times ranked Nos. 1 & 2 nationally in the event according to DyeStat.com.
Moussa will run next season for the University of Colorado. Jablonski will be his taking his talents out west to Oregon in the fall, was runner-up in the mile at the prestigious Millrose Games in New York a couple of months ago.
During the winter, Jablonski won the 3,200 crown at the MIAA Championships at the Prince George’s County Complex. He won the league’s fall title at Oregon Ridge in what’s believed to be a course record 15:11.
