Senior midfielder Mike McCormick’s season-high six goals powered Indian Creek School to a 12-8 decision over Key School in a MIAA C Conference tilt at Anne Arundel Community College Friday evening. Robert McGurrin added two goals and an assist for the Eagles (4-2 overall, 4-1 MIAA C) who pulled away in the final quarter to stay a game behind co-league leaders Baltimore Lutheran and St. John’s Catholic Prep in the loss column.
Billy Conway and John Leavitt each had one goal and one assist. Chris Kalloo and Ryan Baukhages rounded out the total with one goal each. Jay Principio had 12 saves in the game.
Indian Creek returns to action Friday against Mount Carmel while Key (1-6, 0-5 overall) travels to Towson for a match with two-time defending league champ Lutheran.
