Indian Creek trailed 29-16 in the first half before battling back to claim a 53-49 victory over host Saints Peter & Paul in MIAA C Conference action on Tuesday.
The Eagles stepped up their defensive effort and attacked the basket on offense to slowly chip away at the lead. Sophomore Tashoun Barnes led the way for Indian Creek with his seventh straight double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds, including the game-clinching free throw to seal the victory.
Three other Eagles reached eight points to provide a balanced scoring attack led by freshman Keion Bostick, Cyle Porter and Chris Kalloo.
Indian Creek moved to 3-3 overall and 1-0 in conference play. Sts. Peter & Paul dropped to 4-3 and 0-1 respectively.
