It was a night of celebration for the Indian Creek basketball program, as both its boys and girls teams rolled to wins in their respective championship games, at the Inter County Shootout at Calverton School.
Tashoun Barnes had a big night for the boys, scoring 17 points and collecting 11 rebounds to lead the Eagles to a 69-30 win over MIAA C Conference rival Key School. Barnes also had five blocks and five steals.
Freshman Keion Bostick also had a double-double, with 12 points and 10 boards, while junior RJ Davis, freshman Derron Morgan, and junior Bijon Brydson also reached double figures, with 13, 12 and 10 points, respectively.
The ICS girls won their championship with a 37-22 win over host Calverton.
Playing without leading scorer Kiana Dawson, who had 15 points in the semifinals, the Eagles were paced by 16 points from Rhian Sells, while Becky Kinder added eight.
Indian Creek led 18-11 at the half, but limited Calverton to just four second half points as it pulled away for the win.
