Mount St. Joseph lands in Top 5; Elkton moves up

After winning its MIAA A Conference opener last weekend, Mount St. Joseph is up to 4th in the latest state media Top 25 poll.

St. Frances Academy remains the unanimous No. 1 with Archbishop Spalding (No. 5), Calvert Hall College (6th) and McDonogh School (No. 8) in the Top 10. Franklin remains the area’s highest ranked public team at No. 12.

Also of local interest in the poll are No. 14 Loyola Blakefield, No. 20 Mervo and No. 22 Elkton.

Milford Mill Academy fell out of the Top 25, but received votes along with South River and Dunbar.
