The IAAM basketball championships are all set, after Thursday’s semifinal round, as all three title games are set for Sunday evening at Goucher College in Towson.

The highlight of “championship Sunday” will be the IAAM A Conference title game between Archbishop Spalding and Seton Keough, the No. 1 and No. 5 teams, respectively, in the VSN Top 20.

Spalding (26-2) roared into the final with a 73-46 rout of St. Vincent Pallotti, while Keough (19-7) stunned No. 4 McDonogh, 54-33.  The Cavaliers and Gators will tip-off at 5:00 p.m.

At 3:00 p.m., St. John’s Catholic Prep will attempt to win its second consecutive IAAM C Conference title, as it faces Catholic High.  St. John’s downed Friends, 48-30, in one semifinal, while Catholic defeated St. Timothy’s, 48-35, in the other.

The final game on Sunday will tip at 7:00 p.m., as John Carroll and Notre Dame Prep battle for the B Conference crown.  John Carroll got past St. Mary’s, 55-50, in its semifinal, while NDP upset top-seeded Mount de Sales, 53-43, to reach the championship.

Admission to the IAAM Basketball Championships is $7, with children under seven being admitted for free, while parking is free.

Concessions will be available, however, no food or drink will be allowed in the bleacher area.  It is the policy of the IAAM to allow tailgating and tailgating activities for IAAM championship games, unless otherwise specified by the venue.  You are encouraged to act responsibly.
