The Patterson Mill Huskies posted a large, 12-4, lead in the first half of the Anne Arundel Community College Tournament, Thursday, and added seven more goals to top Chesapeake in the opening round, 19-12.

Taylor Burris and Emily Keesling each net an astonishing five goals apiece, with Burris out-assisting Keesling, 3-2, while teammate Gabby Vujanic finished her scoring night with four goals and one assist.

Junior Sam Boyce did work assaulting the cougar net, posting tree scores in the game, but also won 14 draw controls, contributing to a majority of the Husky offense.

Amy Bednarek and Logenn Schoen completed the rest of the Patterson Mill scoring with a goal each, while Brittany Cudmore contributed with four assists.

Heather Dove made one save in the Huskies’ goal, allowing just four scores in the first half, though Chesapeake’s Erin Tenneson would finish her day with five scores.

Other scorers for the Cougars included Everett, netting three, Scanlon, Flaig, Lucke and Smith.

Patterson Mill’s next game comes on Saturday, as the Huskies take on Kent Island.  Chesapeake will try to rebound against Queen Anne’s.
