Dropping just four matches on the evening, the Patterson Mill Huskies moved to a 6-1 record, Wednesday, after defeating the Bohemia Manor Eagles, 51-18, in UCBAC wrestling action.
Keeping tight with the Huskies in the early goings, Bohemia Manor saw wins from Chavez and Sharp at 135 and 145, respectively, but a six-match winning streak would see Patterson Mill take a demanding lead which would end in the team’s win.
Starting the winning run, Jeff England and Devakar Sinha worked a decision and major decision at 152 and 160, before Tyler Machenchnie (171), Corey Myers (189), Ryan Zwirlein (215) and Mike Deshiell (285) picked up six-point wins for the huskies in the heavier weightclasses.
And while Castle would disrupt the winning streak with an Bohemia Manor fall at 103, Zach Cullison would go on to end the night with a win for the Huskies, tech falling his opponent at 125.
Bohemia Manor faces two opponents, Jan. 27, taking on both Parkside and Kent County, as Patterson Mill faces Edgewood, Jan. 21.
