When Stevenson University opens its 2009 women’s soccer season, on Sept. 1 with a home game against Bridgewater, the Mustangs will rely heavily on the talents of junior midfielder Allison Humphries, who starred during her high school career at John Carroll.

At John Carroll, Humphries led the Patriots to a pair of IAAM A Conference titles.

At Stevenson, she picked up right where she left off in high school, and last fall she earned Second-Team All-Capital Athletic Conference honors.

Humphries totaled 13 points in 2008 and tied for the team lead with five assists.  She also scored four goals, the number she managed as a freshman in 2007.  She also led the team with 19 starts and scored the game winning goal in an October victory over Gallaudet University.

Humphries contributions played a major role as Stevenson captured its third ECAC Division III South title, last fall.
