Hereford’s field hockey team pulled out a close win over Baltimore County rival Towson, 3-1, on Wednesday afternoon.

Rennie Takersley, Allie Hackbarth and Julia DeNuzzio each scored for the host Bulls while Caroline Clancy, Meghan Rock, Kathleen Hilberg, Lavy Aghazarian all assisted on a goal. Goalie Missy Betsil made 19 saves.

Hereford improved to 6-2 overall and 5-0 in the Baltimore County Heron Division.  With three games left and a half game lead over Dulaney, the Bulls are in the driver’s seat for the title.

Sara Beach scored the Generals (2-8, 2-4) goal which was assisted by Molly Broom.  Keeper Megan Pullin stopped 21 shots.
