No. 20 Havre de Grace improved its winning streak to eight straight games, Friday, as the top-seeded Warriors routed visiting Cambridge-South Dorchester, 41-21, in a Class 1A East Region semifinal football game, behind the passing of junior quarterback Darin Washington.
The win advances the Warriors to next week’s regional championship game where they will host Bo Manor, which topped Patterson Mill, 21-7, in Friday’s other 1A East semifinal.
Washington completed 11 passes for 270 yard three scores and Michael Kelley added three rushing touchdowns for Havre de Grace (9-2).
Bo Manor (10-1) spoiled Patterson Mill’s first ever playoff trip as Kyle Thompson scored two times for the Eagles.
Thompson and Madison Neddo combined for 164 yards rushing, with Thompson rushing for a six-yard score and hauling in a 37-yard TD pass. Bo Manor’s other score came on a two-yard touchdown run by Tyler Horn.
Deonte Alston had a good game out the backfield for the Huskies (7-4), rushing for 75 yards and a touchdown.
