Lions conclude their abbreviated season with a Senior Day win over SPSG

It may have been short, but the 2020 Maryvale Prep varsity field hockey season was sweet.

The Lions capped their four game open-season slate with a 6-1 season-finale win over rival St. Paul’s School for Girls as the squad celebrated Senior Day.

Seniors Emma Radebaugh and Payton Rowley both wrapped up their high school careers with outstanding efforts, each recording a hat-trick to account for the Lions’ goals. Emily Marson tallied two assists and Nadia Briddell added one, as Maryvale finished 3-1 for the year.

Goalie Lizzie Francioli only allowed one goal and had six saves for the day. Sarah Mudd has the lone goal for St. Paul’s.
