Harford Tech’s boys soccer team defended it’s home turf on Saturday and won it’s annual Cobra Kickoff Classic in Bel Air.

The Cobras (3-1) opened the tournament with a decisive 6-0 victory over UCBAC rival Joppatowne. Zac Lazarus scored two goals while Nick Sullivan, Thanh Tran, Tyler Granese and Garrett Selander each scored once.  Mark Leyhe added two assists.

After Sullivan’s goal in the 9th minute, the game was never in doubt.  Edgewood knocked off West Nottingham, 9-0, in the other first round game to advance to the championship to face Harford Tech.

It was more of the same for the Cobras in the title game.  Garrent Selander scored a goal that was assisted by Mark Leyhe in the third minute of the contest.  Cody Caudill added another goal, asssited ny Nick Sullivan, in the eight minute for insurance.  Harford Tech goalie made eight saves to keep the stat sheet clean.
