The Harford Tech boys soccer squad rebounded from its tough season-opening loss to Aberdeen to claim an equally hard fought, 2-1, win over Overlea, on Tuesday night, as the Cobras squared their overall record at 1-1.
The Cobras jumped in front in the second minute when Zac Lazarus converted a feed from Tyler Granese. Alan Horst netted an unassisted tally, in the 28th minute, to tie the contest for Overlea and the game remained tied into the second half.
Tech forced the action for much of the second half, finishing with 11 corner kick opportunities, including five in a row at one point.
In the 74th minute, Tech’s Austin Lentz scored the game winner, unassisted.
Joel Harrill saved seven shots for the Falcons, while Dan Ashburn stopped a pair of shots for the Cobras.
