Led by Matt Lubawski and his six-goal game, the Harford Tech Cobras escaped Havre de Grace with a boys’ lacrosse win, Monday, 8-5.

The Cobras took a 4-0 lead in the second quarter before Havre de Grace’s rallied behind Justin Gosnell, who scored twice and assisted on a third score to trail 4-3 at the half.

Havre de Grace would score two more times in the second half to post a one-goal lead, 5-4, though the Cobras would go on to score four goals in the second half for the 8-5 win.

Zack Valenti and Jack Boniface added to Lubawski’s seix goals in the Harford Tech Schoring effort, with Valenti assisting in two others.

Havre de Grace led by a strong performance in goal by Tyler Coakley, making 15 saves, while Chris Castillo won five ground balls.

Justin Gosnell scored four of the Warriors’ five goals, assisting the other to Tyler Sylvester, who scored his first varsity goal.  

Sean Klein finished the game with 13 saves for the Cobras.

Harford Tech will nest see Edgewood in lacrosse action, Wednesday, while Havre de Grace faces Pikesville on April 4.
