Hammond’s boys basketball team snapped a three-game losing streak last night with a close, 46-44 win over Wilde Lake last night in Howard County action.

Senior point guard David Patrick scored a game-high 15 points and Demetrius Powell added 14 for the Golden Bears, who improve to 3-4 overall and 2-4 in the league.

Senior guard Khalil Viera scored 13 points for the Wildecats (4-3, 3-3).  Ben Vester added 12.

Hammond will host No. 19 River Hill on Wednesday before playing in the Winters Mill Tournament last week.  Wilde Lake travels to upstart Mount Hebron before competing in the North Carroll Tournament on Monday.
