Senior Bobby Gribbin rushed for three touchdowns and returned a fumble 12 yards for a fourth score to lead host Georgetown Prep to a 56-12 non-conference win over St. Mary’s, on Friday.

Gribbin scored the game’s first two touchdowns in the opening quarter and Dominic Bryan added a 10-yard run as the Little Hoyas led 21-0 after one quarter.

Malik Branch, who scored two touchdowns for St. Mary’s (1-5), put the Saints on the board in the second quarter, but Georgetown Prep (4-2) followed with 35 consecutive points, before Branch raced 34 yards for his second score, in the fourth quarter.

Bryan had a second touchdown, in the second quarter, and Prep also got touchdowns from Wes Lane and Charles Paulos.

Prep will return to MIAA A Conference action next week when if hosts undefeated Calvert Hall on Saturday.  Last year Prep provided the hangover following the high from Calvert Hall’s win over Gilman, as they upended the Cardinals in Towson.  Calvert Hall is again entering the Prep game following a big, emotional win over Gilman.

St. Mary’s will resume its MIAA B Conference schedule on Friday night, when it hosts John Carroll.
