McDonogh got off to a shaky start in its Saturday football contest at Landon, but rebounded for a 25-15 victory to improve to 5-0 on the season.

In the first quarter, the Eagles lost a fumble which was return 32 yards for a touchdown by Landon’s Deion Wellington and the Bears actually built a 15-6 halftime lead.

Evan Grant got McDonogh on the board with an eight yard first quarter run and then scored on a 62 yard touchdown reception from Joel Jorgensen to ignite the McDonogh comeback.

The Eagles have now outscored their five opponents 177-70.  They finally make their 2010 MIAA A Conference debut next Saturday when they visit Loyola.
