Meagan Guthrie scored six goals and Kayleigh Hinkle added three goals and two assists as No. 13 Glenelg High knocked off Archbishop Spalding, 14-12, in a non-league contest in Howard County Saturday. Trailing 7-6 at halftime, the Gladiators (4-1 overall) outscored the Severn private school, 8-5, in the second half.

Taylor Salandra, Gretchen Gurganus, Kirby Taylor, Emily Russo and Deb Milani also scored for Glenelg, which rebounded for a tough 8-7 decision to Howard County rival and No. 10 Marriotts Ridge Friday evening. Katie Becker posted 10 saves.

Morgan Dalton finished with four goals for Spalding (2-3), and Jess Mucci had two goals and one assists. Kendall Garden and Sarah Ardnt each scored twice.

Spalding hosts St. Mary’s in an IAAM A Conference match Tuesday. Glenelg plays Oakland Mills in a Howard County match.
