Gophers edge Annapolis in Anne Arundel County baseball

After seeing a a five game win streak snapped in its last outing, the Glen Burnie baseball team got right back in the win column, Thursday, with a 5-4 Anne Arundel County victory at Annapolis.

George Johnson made the start and gave up only one earned run and two hits over 5.1 innings as the Gophers (6-2 overall) improved to 5-2 in the County. Josh Johnson paced the Gophers, offensively, with two hits while Alan Fangman had an RBI single and earned the save by getting the final five outs.

Anthony Costa singled and drove in a run for Annapolis (3-3 overall & AA County).
