Gophers use outstanding service game to prevail


The Glen Burnie volleyball got off a slow start in its match with Long Reach, on Tuesday, but the Gophers settled in nicely and swept the final three sets to claim a 19-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-20 victory.

After the first set, Glen Burnie ramped up its energy and played with confidence. Junior Madison Meyers went 22-for-24 on her serves with four aces and junior Wynter Radcliffe was 18-for-20 on serves with four aces.

Senior Jamyl Helm had five rally saving digs and went 11-for-11 on her serves, while junior Megan Helinski made major contributions as well.
