Gilman won the MIAA Squash team championship for a third year in a row, Thursday, defeating McDonogh, 7-0, in the championship match at Meadow Mill Athletic Club.

The highlight of the match was an epic battle at the No. 5 spot between Gilman’s Peter DeWire and McDonogh’s Alex Sidney, with Peter winning the match in five hotly contested games. David Hoffman (No. 2), Will Hanley (No. 3), Michael East (No. 4), all won their match in three games, while No. 1 Taylor Tutrone and No. 6 Jakob Metz prevailed three games to one.

Gilman finished the team match portion of the schedule with a 23-1 record, and was recently ranked number four in the country by US. Squash. Gilman and McDonogh, as well as all of the other teams in the conference, will now compete in the MIAA individual championships Monday and Tuesday of next week.
