No. 3 Gilman and No. 6 Mount St. Joseph battled a to 1-1, double-overtime tie in MIAA A Conference soccer action Thursday in Irvington, as Gilman rallied from behind in the second half.
The Greyhounds entered the game having allowed just one goal this fall during a 7-0 start. Adam Gracia, however, put St. Joe on top with a first half score and the lead lasted into the second half.
Gilman found the equalizer in the 50th minute when Joe Cahalan netted a score.
“It was a hard fought game, both teams gave it their all,” said Cahalan. “One hundred minutes of intense action on both ends of the field all day.”
