The Gilman lacrosse team got its 2011 season underway last week with a pair of wins, edging DC power Landon, 8-7 on Thursday and coming back to hammer Norfolk Academy (VA), 16-1, on Saturday.
Senior attackman Conor Doyle starred in both contests, collecting two goals and three assists against Landon before adding a goal and three assists against Norfolk.
Junior Gordie Koerber is also off to a fast start. He had a hat-trick and an assist against Landon and then added two goals and and an assist in the win against Norfolk.
Thirteen different Greyhounds scored at least one goal in the rout of Norfolk.
