The MIAA indoor track and field season moved to its second group meet of the year, Thursday, with Gilman taking the team win, outscoring last week’s winner, Archbishop Curley, 117-110, for the top spot.
Like last week, this meet was held at Loyola Blakefield, and Gilman claimed individual victories in the polevault (Kane, 11-06), 1,600 meters (Meadows, 4:40.07), 500 meters (Watson, 69.9), 4×400 relay (3:44.90).
Mount St. Joseph was third in the team competition with 83 points, while McDongh (67) and Loyola (46.5) round out the top five. On Dec. 17, the teams will meet again in the spacious facilities of the Prince Georges Sports & Learning Complex for Group Meet No. 3.
