Gilman squash players won four out of the five individual final matches played Tuesday at Meadow Mill Athletic Club, with two more titles to be deiced next week.
Gilman’s Harrison Ebeling pulled out a hard fought victory in five games at the No. 7 slot over St. Paul’s Jack Pellington. Jakob Metz of Gilman defeated Trevor Porter from Boys ‘Latin in three games, at No. 6, and Peter Dewire (No. 5) also won in three games over Andrew Katz from Park. In addition, David Hoffman of Gilman spotted Brandon Weiss of McDonogh the first game in the No. 2 match, but then rally to win the next three.
Matt Brown of McDonogh defeated Will Pisano of Friends, 3-0, at the number No. 4 position, to win the day’s other individual title.
Will Hanley of Gilman will play Ian Webb of McDonogh for the No. 3 championship, at a date to be determined, while Taylor Turone of Gilman will battle Michael Mutschelller Boys’ Latin for the No. 1 spot at MMAC, at 4pm on Monday. The last time the two number ones met Tutrone prevailed in a five set thriller, marked by long rallies and excellent shots.
