Falcons smack six doubles in MIAA B Conference victory
Gerstell Academy opened its MIAA B Conference schedule at home on Tuesday and the Falcons scored six times in the bottom of the sixth inning to end the contest with an 11-1 victory over Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
The Falcons collected 14 hits and buried the Cougars under a barrage of doubles as they smack six, including two by John Delgado, who was 3-for-4 with three RBI. Winning pitcher Tyler Stuck, who allowed just one hit and one run in 3.1 innings of work, helped his cause with two hits in four trips, including a double, and scoring two runs.
In addition, leadoff hitter Dylan Nee and Aaron Hammond each had two hits and drove in three runs.
Luke Wanless had both of Mount Carmel hits, including a double, and scored his team’s only run.
