Garrison Forest jumped out to a 19-6 first quarter lead and overcame a three-point second quarter to open its IAAM B Conference basketball schedule with a 49-23 victory over the Institute of Notre Dame, Thursday in Owings Mills.
Shaniya Rentie scored a game high 20 points and Tanya Chikosi had seven points and 19 rebounds to lead the Grizzlies.
GFS limited the Indians to just 10 first half points, including four in the second quarter when the Grizzlies were also struggling offensively.
