Cedric Charlier was again Mr. Clutch for Friends School Thursday. He scored his second game-winning goal in as many matches, lifting the Quakers to a 2-1 decision over St. Vincent Pallotti in a MIAA B Conference contest.
The Quakers (6-0 overall, 5-0 MIAA B) dominated possession throughout the match, but it was Pallotti who took the lead early in the second half after a defensive mix up on Friends’ left led to a cross, and a static defense watched Junior Sadiq Jordan snap a shot past Matt Collins.
The Quakers equalized after steady pressure opened up the Panther’s defense for junior Nabil Odulate to score from an Ethan Tobin assist. They sealed a victory five minutes into the overtime period when Charlier, a sophomore, scored the game-winner.
