Ella Cooper scored eight goals and Emma Sissman added four as Friends School outlasted defending IAAM C Conference champ St. John’s Catholic Prep, 18-17, in a league contest Tuesday afternoon. Cooper contributed two assists for the Quakers (3-0 overall, 3-0 IAAM C), who received three scores from Lucy Klein.
Junior Marial Pierce had six goals and two assists for St. John’s Catholic (2-2, 2-2 IAAM C), and Brooke Wilson scored five times. Meredith Jones, Kelly Crowley and Beth Ann Pierce each finished with two goals.
Friends will host Mercy Friday in league action. St. John’s Catholic hosts Glenelg Country School Thursday in Frederick.
