In wet and raw conditions, Wednesday, Friends School defeated Park School, 5-0, in MIAA B Conference soccer today, keeping the Quakers alive in the chase of the top seed for the upcoming playoffs.

The first goal was scored by Nick Steiner with a tap in off a rebounded shot about five minutes into the game and the score remained 1-0 at haltime.

In the second half, the Quakers (16-3, 12-3) broke loose with four goals. Senior captain Addison Thompson got things going when he chipped the keeper from 25
yards out, 10 minutes into the 2nd half. A third goal followed with Andrew Ayers
bundling the ball in from a set piece.

Patrick Linehan scored two late goals to make it 5-0, with 2 great finishes going
1-on-1 with the goalie.

With one league game to go, Friday at Annapolis Area Christian, the Quakers have 36 points, one back of Severn and one in front of Boys’ Latin.
