The Friends girls basketball team made it four straight wins on Monday night as the Quakers visited Park and won decisively, 47-24, in an IAAM non-conference basketball game.
After a competitive opening quarters, Friends limited Park to just one second quarter point and went to the half with a 27-14 lead. Points were hard to come by in the third quarter for both teams, as each were limited to just four, but the Quakers iced things with a 16-6 burst in the fourth.
Friends (4-1) was paced by double-double efforts from Bealela Donnelly and Molly Green, as well as strong contributions from other sources.
Donnelly has been a consistent force throughout the early season and she scored 16 points to go with 10 rebounds and four steals against Park. Green’s lucky number was 14, as she had 14 points and 14 rebounds. In addition, Emma Sissman had nine points, five rebounds and four steals.
Also for the Quakers, Jenn Macko, Nurisha Rodriguez and Caroline Stanley combined for 20 rebounds and eight points.
Zoe Mayers led Park with 11 points and Rose Cole scored nine for the Bruins (5-2).
