Freshman Madison McCann scored a hat-trick on Monday afternoon to power Garrison Forest to an important, 5-1, IAAM B Conference indoor soccer win over Park School, at DuBurns Arena.
Each team came into the contest with just one loss in league play and they were knotted, 1-1, at the half, before the Grizzlies (7-1, 7-4 took control).
In addition to McCann’s offense, Garrison received one goal each from junior Daphne Lyketsos and sophomore Kamber Parker. According to Grizzly head coach Bill Tarlton, “Lyketsos was outstanding in controlling the middle of the field and distributing the ball.”
Park slipped to 6-2-1 in the conference and overall. Mount Carmel leads the league with a 7-0-1 record and St. Paul’s School for Girls is 6-1-1.
