Aberdeen and Harford Tech played a tense overtime thriller on opening day of the 2010 boys soccer season, on Friday, with the Eagles prevailing, 3-2, on a golden goal by William Frazier, six minutes into the second extra session.

Chris King, who scored Aberdeen’s second goal in the 47th minute, provided the helper on the game winner.

Aberdeen took an early lead as Rickie Kalama broke the ice five minutes into the contest. Cody Caudill scored the equalizer in the 37th minute for the Cobras.  In the second half, following King’s score, Garrett Selander pulled Harford Tech even once again, with a goal in the 74th minute.

Both goalkeepers were kept busy.  Dan Ashburn stopped seven shots for Harford Tech and David Bush made seven saves for Aberdeen.
